LETTERS: American vehicles spotted – Hesham Family Fund

Laurie Savoie writes about U.S. Visitors:

For the last few days there has been a car with COLORADO plates parked at the Westerlea, here in Qualicum Beach.

WHY?? Surely we’re not on the way to Alaska.

Terry Roberts writes about the Hesham Alhbiyou refugee family waiting to resettle in Oceanside:

What a fabulous article about the plight of the Hesham Alhbiyou family who are waiting to come to Oceanside to join Hesham’s sister Samar and to enjoy the freedom and prosperity that Canada offers. We often look at the bigger picture (89 million refugees and displaced persons worldwide) and are overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the problem. Thank you so much for shining a spotlight on this issue and showing how we all can make a difference, one family at a time.
